Because of the way rugby is played in Ireland, NI is included - therefore, the Irish national anthem is not known by the majority of Ulster men (as God save the queen is their anthem), so the IRFU asked for a rugby anthem to be created.

the welsh have there own anthem , as you would all like to think that wales is part of the united kingdom , there for would have to play god save the queen, but as there is no dragon on the union flag. how can wales be part of the uk.
